Getting started
We're on paper (or old software). How hard is it to switch?
Not hard. Upload your customer list as a spreadsheet, or send us what you have and we'll import your customers, sites, containers and service plans for free.
How long does setup take?
You can create your company, add trucks and holidays, and start scheduling the same day. With a free import, most of the work is done for you.
Who is Trakro for?
Independent, owner-run document shredding companies with 1 to 3 trucks (up to about 5), doing scheduled service, purges, on-site and off-site shredding.
Do you handle medical waste or records storage?
No. Trakro is built only for document shredding. That focus is why the words, screens and certificates fit your business.
Drivers and the field
What happens when my driver has no signal?
The driver app keeps working. Stops, photos and signatures are saved on the phone and sent automatically once signal comes back. Nothing a driver records is lost.
Do my drivers need iPhones?
No. The driver app runs on any modern phone, iPhone or Android, and installs from the browser. No app store needed.
Can helpers ride along?
Yes. Drivers add the day's helper when they start their route, so your records show who was on the truck.
What if a stop can't be serviced?
The driver picks a reason (closed, no access, nothing to collect and so on) and can add a photo. The office sees it right away and can reschedule.
Certificates and audits
Does it handle off-site shredding?
Yes. Off-site stops get a pickup receipt right away, and the certificate of destruction is issued once the material is destroyed at your plant, with the chain of custody recorded.
Can I use my own certificate wording and logo?
Yes. Certificates carry your company name, logo and wording, plus the service details from the driver's record.
Will it help with audits?
Issued certificates and completed service records are locked once saved. Fixes become new, numbered versions, and every important change is written to a history no one can edit.
Billing and your data
Do you work with QuickBooks Desktop?
We sync with QuickBooks Online. If you're on QuickBooks Desktop or another accounting tool, you can export invoices and payments as a spreadsheet.
Can my clients pay by card?
Yes. Invoice emails include a secure payment link. You can also record checks and cash by hand.
Who can see my company's data?
Only the people you invite. Each company's records are walled off from every other company at the database level, and you choose who is an owner, office user or driver.
Is there a contract?
No long contracts. Pay monthly and cancel any time, or pay yearly and get two months free.
